Derek Pausewang brought the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Members pledged allegiance to the US and Texas flags. Ronnie Head offered a prayer.

Rose Head read the minutes from the last meeting. Richard Stone made a correction. They were approved as corrected.

Henry McKinney gave the treasurer's report. There is a balance of $890.99.

Old Business:

Rose asked for input on the website. Open discussion followed. The members wanted the minutes to be open but without stray comments and financial figures. They preferred a summary on the lead page with a link to the full minutes. Walter Kovar wants to add the club charter to the site. Rondel Stevens wants to add articles about the club. Richard Stevens suggested that everyone could be made an editor on the site. He also suggested that online digital storage was a possibility for club material.

Walter asked for feedback on the club’s experience with the goat cook-off. The primary comment was that the location was not conducive to visitors hanging out at the booth. One couple showed interest and that man is preparing for the technician test. Walter, Richard Stone, and Derek have been communicating with him.

Field Day will be June 22nd and 23rd. This is the last meeting before the event. The group decided to be 2A. Ronnie said he would have the voice station. The others agreed to meet at the Dairy Queen at a later date to work out the details. Rondel also suggested using the Friday night net for discussion of Field Day preparations.

Derek asked about alternate sites. The Field Day has been held at the Old McKinsey place since 1995. Other options discussed were the rodeo grounds, city park, and New Horizons. An advantage of New Horizons would be the additional points for each operator under 18. Ronnie agreed to call and find out if the McKinsey place would be available again this year.

New Business:

There was none.

Derek adjourned the meeting at 8:10 pm.
