Post date: Mar 09, 2015 3:20:26 PM

Secretary Rose Head called the meeting to order at 7:15 with pledges to the US and Texas flags. Richard Stone offered the prayer.

Rose Head read the treasurers report as emailed to her by Henry McKinney. We had a balance of $984.97 on October 24th. There have been three repeater electric bills, $18.38, $18.49, and $17.80, leaving a balance of $930.30. Rose read the minutes from the October meeting. Both were approved as read.

There was no old business.

New Business:

The membership proposed a slate of officers. Ronnie Head moved that they be elected acclamation. Richard Stone seconded. The motion passed.

President----Jack Garner

Vice President----Alan Brown

Treasurer----Henry McKinney

Secretary----Rose Head

Public Relations----Walter Kovar

We discussed the repeater situation. Alan Brown has negotiated placement on the new Centex tower at 250’. The project has been delayed due to weather. Jack moved that the club repeater go on the tower. Web Mays seconded. All voted to give Alan the go ahead.

There was some discussion about reprogramming the 146.79 repeater to match the 147.100 and using it only as an emergency backup. That will be brought up again after the new location for the 147.100 repeater has been in use for several months. An alternate site for communications could be useful if the main tower is ever damaged.

Web Mays is currently trustee of K5TRO, the club call sign. He wants to give it up. The call sign is only used at field day and the goat cook-off. Walter Kovar said he is willing to take it up. They will work on the details.

Walter suggested we phone hams randomly to remind them of the meetings.

Walter asked if the club wanted to renew membership in the chamber of commerce. We voted to continue membership.

The meeting adjourned at 8 pm.
