Jack Garner called the meeting to order at 7:15 PM with pledges to the US and Texas flags. Ronnie Head offered the prayer.

Walt Kovar read the minutes from the July meeting. Web Mays moved and Jack seconded that the report be approved.

Henry McKinney gave the treasurer’s report. We had $1096.53 at the close of last month. The electric bill for the month of July was $18.09 and $17.67 for August leaving a balance of $1060.77 in our account. Ronnie moved and Walt seconded that the report be approved.

Old Business:

Jack asked if Walt knew anything about ham radio provisions for the law enforcement center. He didn’t.

New Business:

Ronnie has a table reserved for HamFest at Belton on October 3^rd. He will be selling Don Paggett’s equipment and anyone else’s. Jack suggested that we email a list of available equipment to all members.’

Ronnie reported on his visit to the Homer Spit field day site while in Alaska.

Walt reminded everyone of the Friends of the Library book sale this Thursday and Friday.

There was no program because of lack of air conditioning.

Meeting adjourned at about 7:32 PM.
