Alan Brown brought the meeting to order with a prayer. Members pledged allegiance to the US and Texas flags.

Henry McKinney gave the treasurer's report. There is a balance of $761.40.

Rose Head read the minutes from the last meeting. They were approved as read.

Old Business:

Alan Brown reported on his efforts to get Janie Wooley's Silent Key entered. He has had no response to his emails.

There was open discussion about potential new HAM operators in the community.

Preparations for the Goat Cook-off were discussed. Rondel Stevens and Web Mays each have 10' x 10' canopies that we can use. Alan Brown has 2 tables. Ronnie Head suggested everyone bring their own chairs. There was discussion of a J-pole. Alan will bring his. Bennie Owens and Ronnie have Ringo Rangers. Rondel has a log periodic 2 meter antenna and fiberglass poles. We decided to set up at 4 pm Friday. Alan asked about radios. He said he will bring his ICOM system. Others will bring theirs. Rondel has been asked to signal to the 94 machine for rebroadcast on HF. We will have a cooler full of ice & soda pop.

New Business:

Waltar Kovar's donated surplus equipment brought in $143.00 at the Belton HAM swap meet last Saturday. He gave the proceeds to Henry McKinney for the club treasury. The unsold items are in Ronnie Head's possession. Web Mays bought an unsold meter and donated that amount to the treasury also.

Rondel Stevens asked about the field day site which is up for sale. Alan Brown called to check on availability of the site and left a message. Other options for a field day site were discussed. Ronnie Head suggested the rodeo grounds. Bennie Owens asked about a location with shade. Alan suggested the Toddy House. Derek Pausewang opposed.

Ronnie Head moved that the meeting adjourn. Walter Kovar seconded. The club VE team conducted a test session after the meeting. Rose Head took and passed the Extra Class exam.
