Alan Brown brought the meeting to order with a prayer for Janie Wooley, club secretary, who perished in a house fire March 9

Because there were no flags in the room, the usual pledges were dispensed with.

Henry McKinney gave the treasurer’s report. There is a balance of $769.13.

Walter Kovar reported on the preparations for the club’s participation in the Goat Cook-off the last Saturday in April. Walter and Alan got two sites, one with electricity, for club use. Rondel Stevens has the club’s antennas and other equipment that will be used.

Robert Head gave the net report. Local participation has been poor, but surrounding communities have called in.

Walter Kovar asked that Alan Brown send Janie Wooley’s obituary to ARRL to be placed in Silent Keys. Alan said he would take care of that.

There was some discussion about the club’s web presence. Rose Head volunteered to work on the web pages. Alan Brown said he would make the necessary contact with Rick Stevens to set her up as webmaster.

Walter Kovar nominated Rose Head for the vacant position of club secretary. Derek Pausewang seconded. There being no other candidates, she was elected. Richard Stone offered to fill in when needed.

Robert Head moved to adjourn. Rose Head seconded.
