President Derek Pausewang called the meeting to order with pledges to the US and Texas flags. Walter Kovar offered the prayer.

Henry McKinney read the treasurer’s report. Last month’s balance was $843.36. After the electric bill of $18.24, the club has a balance of $825.12. Ronnie Head moved that the report be accepted as read. Richard Stone seconded. The motion passed.

Rose Head read the minutes for the February meeting and the March unofficial gathering. Walter moved that the reports be accepted as read. Richard seconded. The motion passed.

In old business, we discussed preparations for the goat cook-off. We have site #8. Derek will be there at about 8:40. He will bring his 2 meter mag mount antennae. Web Mays will bring electrical connections. Rondel will help set up Friday and break down Saturday. He has 50’ extension cords, antennae, power supply, canopy, table and T posts for the sign. The Garners will bring a piece of steel for the mag mount antennae. David Lewis will bring some radios, Kenwood 1200 or 857 and a 2 meter. Those who can help will meet at the park at 6 pm Friday to set up and then prepare our booth at 8:30 am Saturday. Walter can be there part time. He has prepared certificates. Derek has prepared some materials and will show Morse code.

Ronnie showed the framed WAS on 20 meter phone award we received.

Field day is approaching. It is the last full weekend in June. We will be able to use the same site as last year if the property isn’t sold.

In new business, we discussed the possibility of having a 2 meter CW net for practice with Derek.

Walter moved and Web seconded that we adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 pm.
